Serbin Real Estate is a young company comprised of seasoned realtors who have joined together to provide a "Personal Services" touch to the common facilitation of real estate transaction facilitation. We are not a big franchise bound by corporate policy, but an independent boutique office offering assistance and guidance to our clients. By listening to your desires and expectations, we work with each individual situation we encounter, to either help you sell, or find the perfect property in our sought after Northern Michigan bit of paradise

Rob Serbin, President
Given it's aspect of helping people move about, real estate may be a natural fit for me. My father made a career in the Coast Guard so we moved around the country....a lot. Our last move was to nearby Traverse City in 1973 and I've been in the area ever since
I began my real estate career in 1997 here in Glen Arbor. It's been said that James Brown was the hardest working man in show business. I'd like to think of myself as one of the hardest working guys in real estate. I'm sure my wife Peggy would concur.
When not working I enjoy travel, water skiing (especially on Glen Lake) basketball, cooking, good wine and friends who are interested in any or all of the above.
Our oldest daughter Erin Lane brought her extensive real estate experience to join us here as our office manager. I feel very fortunate to have her here. Our youngest daughter Anne, who is local again after several years serving in the U.S. Coast Guard, is newly married and expecting her first child this summer.

Bob Price, Associate Broker offers his calm wisdom of the "southern gentleman". Bob has lived at Glen Lake since 1970, after moving here from South Carolina. He has explored many careers including local construction and government. Bob began his Real Estate career in 2000. He is married to Jan who is a nurse at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City and they have two children, Betsy and Jeff. His interests include hunting and kayaking along with a little golf and camping.

Jane Darling, Associate Broker brings a female sales perspective to the mix, along with banking & real estate education experience. Jane's career began in the late 70's where she sold real estate licensing textbooks for a Chicago publisher. Financial service marketing brought her back to Michigan where she worked in regional banking positions in Kalamazoo, Detroit and Traverse City. Leelanau County became home in 1986 for Jane and her husband Brooks when he moved his law practice north and built a home on land his grandfather purchased in the early forties.
Jane's work continued in advertising and sales which led to mortgage sales and then on to real estate sales. She and her husband are very proud parents of two sons - Ben, a graduate of Kalamazoo College (where he studies psychology and is a member of the Hornet Soccer team) and Mason, a senior at Suttons Bay High School (where he plays soccer, basketball and golf). Her home, filled with the activity of a busy family, is shared with two cats and two English Setters , which is why she seeks the solitude of the ski trail out her back door in the winter and garden as soon as the snow is gone.
Through her career in real estate, Jane has had the opportunity to train and mentor numerous salespeople, pursue advanced certifications and meet many wonderful people. These relationships and the diversity of the properties in our area make her work both "fascinating and fun."
Jane adds...

Ron Raymond, Sales Associate adds his relative youthful enthusiasm. Ron has been selling real estate for five years. He has handled transactions from $22,000 to $5,000,000. More recently, Ron has gained experience with bank-owned sales as a buyer's agent and how to make them run smoothly to the buyer's benefit. Ron prides himself with staying with his clients as long as it takes to find the perfect property, some as long as 3 years.
On the personal front, Ron has 3 children and is married to his wife Martha. He lives in a log home in Kasson Township and enjoys golf, skiing, fishing and travel with his family.

Bryan Borchardt, Sales Associate has a resume of lending & law. Bryan Borchardt has joined Serbin Real Estate in Glen Arbor as a Sales Associate. Bryan and his family moved to Leelanau County 9 years ago after vacationing here for many years. He is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin and has been employed in the banking industry for the past 15 years. Bryan is also a licensed attorney in Michigan since 1990. Bryan's integrity and commitment to exemplary customer service makes him a welcome addition to our sales staff. Bryan is dedicated to helping others achieve their Northern Michigan dreams.

Erin Lane, Office Manager works and interjects endless wit at the speed of light. Erin (Rob's stepdaughter) grew up in Maple City and is a proud alumni of Glen Lake High School and Michigan State University. She married her college sweetheart "Vic" in 2004 and gravitated back to Leelanau County to build a home on some acreage in the country. "Shelterwood Farm" is home to 7 miniature horses, 2 dogs, 1 rabbit, and toddler "Robin Victoria Lane. With 5+ years of real estate experience behind her, Erin is happy to be a part of the Serbin Real Estate team and looks forward to another great year.
